Assignment 3: Web Evaluation- High School History

First Website: Database
This database is one of the most commonly updated and effective historical databases, and its focus on American history could be used for classes such as AP US History or AP US Government. It has a similar search function to Jstor but better articles, so I like to use it better, but it does require a subscription to be able to access it. All articles are peer-reviewed and thus good sources to cite in a paper.

Second Website: PBS History Documentaries
PBS is well known for their collection of history documentaries, ranging from Ken Burns to The American Experience, ranging in time period from the far past to the current present. I've found that in High School especially students don't enjoy sitting through lectures for a full class period, so this is a useful tool to find videos that are both informative and entertaining, and that help the students pay attention to whats going on. All of the documentaries are well researched and peer reviewed.
